3 months old

Three months already?  I can hardly believe it, but at the same time, it seems like she has been here so much longer.  So much has happened in the last month.  She had her first Christmas and Grandpa and Grandma Stiteler and Aunt Faith came to visit.  Josh went on a "mission" so Penelope and I went back to Ohio to spend time with family while he is gone and that's where we are now.  Only about 1/5 of the way done with his little trip.  I'm excited for him.  I think he will have fun and it's a nice break for him.  I think this is the last time we will be in Ohio until October when my friend Lisa is getting married.  Penelope and I get to be in her wedding and it's great timing because we will be home for her 1st birthday!

So the 11 hour car ride from Missouri to Ohio turned into about 13 hours.  Penelope was ok for about the first 5 hours and the last 3 hours she was very upset.  Not looking forward to the ride back at all.  She didn't sleep for more than 30 minutes in the car, but luckily she has been sleeping well since then, for the most part.

Yesterday she was super grumpy.  I think it's because she misses her daddy.  Last night Josh called while we were falling asleep and the ring woke her up but that's ok.  I put it on speaker and Penelope was all smiles.  It was so cute.  I don't know if she was smiling because she heard daddy's voice or because she saw how excited I was.  Anyways, it was really cute.

She giggled once the other day and since then we have been trying to get her to do it again, but you really have to get her going.  She now tried to roll over when she is on her back but can't figure it out quite yet.  She can still roll over when she's on her belly but doesn't really want to because she likes tummy time.  She holds her head up steady and looks around.  She is smiling all the time.  Especially at Grandpa.  Don't know what it is about him.  Maybe he looks funny.  Just kidding.  She is slowly growing out of her 0-3 month clothes.  I didn't bring very many 3-6 month clothes with me but right now she can wear both.  I went to one of those second-hand baby clothes stores and bought about 8 sleeping sacks that are for 0-9 months.  I love those sleeping sacks and I think she does too.  For now I just have to roll the sleeves up a little.

She eats every 3 or 4 hours and drinks 4 ounces still.  She sleeps about 7 hours then eats and sleeps another 4.  She won't go to bed until after 10 pm and I wish that would change.   So then she is up at 10 am at the earliest and takes about an hour nap a little while after her bottle.  Then it's just kinda whenever for the rest of the day.

It's 9:10pm right now and she is sleeping in Grandma's arms but I'm sure she will wake up soon for another feeding then she will get a bath and hopefully go to bed.  After this weekend she will have meet just about all of her immediate family members.

Don't have a video this month, at least not at the moment.  Just got a new phone and still trying to figure it out.

Christmas morning
